While collecting the 26,419 signatures for Sheffield People’s Petition, It’s Our City! volunteers spoke to face-to-face with over 16,000 Sheffield residents. People were keen to tell us about the problems they have with their council and how the way it is run could be improved.
This document is based on the evidence gathered from these many 1000s of conversations. It lists 4 main principles that must be achieved in the new Modernised Committee System and some specific proposals derived from these principles.
